Wine Makers, Villains, and Potters...

About a month ago we all had a day off and since we rarely have a day off together we decided to drive over to Pahrump and checkout their Vineyard. Although small, the Vineyard was nice.  I am sure it is nothing compared to those in Sonoma County, but for being in the middle of the desert, I was impressed.

While we waited for our tour to begin, I snapped a picture of Victoria and Karen posing in front of the Vineyard's award winning Wines.

While Jessica did some wine tasting, Victoria, Mia, Karen, and I walked around the Vineyard.

LUNCH TIME!  And for dessert, wine tasting for me.

After leaving the Vineyard, we headed over to Town Square.

As we walked around Town Square, we noticed a display presented by Mac (the make-up company) where they would do you make-up, dress you up as a Disney villain, and take your picture.

The girls skipped the make-up part and played dress-up.

They really got into character.

To finish the day, we spent some time at The Artful Potter.

At Mt. Charleston with the Bojorquez...

On the last post I shared some photos from our picnic in Mt. Charleston. On this day we returned with the Bojorquez family to enjoy a nice afternoon outdoors.

Right next to our picnic area is a tepee that people have built with logs. The girls made their contribution to the cause.

After dinner we went for a walk...

As we walked through the forest the girls told me they found some berries. I went over to look at the berries and told them they should pick them up. Lucky for them someone told them NOT TO PICK-UP the berries…

When we returned to the picnic area, we had some cookies.

As we left the picnic area, I spotted some wild sunflowers growing by the side of the road. Of course, I pulled over and got these shots.

Picnic at Mt. Charleston...

This summer we discovered a nice picnic area in Mt. Charleston. Here are some photos of our time up there.

Momma gets our food ready.

After relaxing for a while, Mia decides she wants to ride her tri-cycle...

and shortly after, she rides it into the ditch....

and as she struggles to get it out, she looks at me as if saying, "PUT THE CAMERA DOWN AND HELP ME!".

We are big fans of the Cartoon, Avatar: the Last Airbender (we did not like the movie version, DON'T SEE IT). Inspired by the cartoon, we tried to get in touch with our Chakra.

After dinner, we decided to go for a walk. The last photos were taken while on this walk.

At the District...

One of our favorite places to go on the weekends, when it is not too hot, is the District at Green Valley Ranch. We specially like to go on the weekends when they have live music. The girls love to dance and run around while we listen to the music. On this perticular day we stopped to get a cup of coffee before the music started playing.

After our cup of coffee, we went to listen to the live music. As the girls ran around I took this picture.

While resting the camera on the floor, I took a few pictures to see what I would get. Here is the image in Black and White.

After listening to the music for a while, we went to our favorite children's clothes store. Here the girls tried a couple of different hats and of course I had the camera ready.
